The "Endangered Senses" project is a series of sensory prosthetics that situates the human as animal. The project is designed to allow humans to experience a sense or ability possessed by other animals, but not by humans. Through "Endangered Senses" I seek to confront human anthropocentrism by questioning our assertion of dominance over the natural world. The project is designed to examine our assumptions about both how we filter our surroundings and how we perceive other species.en_US
