| dc.description.abstract | Eastern equine encephalitis virus is a rare but serious virus spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. This virus is common in southern New England, New York and New Jersey, and other areas of the midwest and southeast United States. This pamphlet provides a overview of how EEE is spread, where it occurs, symptoms of illness, and what individuals can do to prevent being bitten by mosquitoes infected with this virus. Materials also available as a brief flyer using simple language.
