David Jauncey retired as a Chief Research Scientist at the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), but remains active. He joined CSIRO after he returned from the US, where he had been a Senior Research Associate at Cornell University, working primarily on Arecibo-related research. He was one of the pioneers of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) in the US and the world. This is discussed in the interview.
