“Christmas Letters”: Dean’s News Letters to Alumni (1914-1975)

Permanent URI for this collection

Beginning in 1914, Dean Veranus A. Moore began sending an informal, information letter to alumni and friends in December around Christmas time. They soon became known as the “Christmas Letters” and contained news about the College and its activities during the past year of potential interest to alumni. The tradition of these letters was continued annually by subsequent deans until 1975, when they were replaced by periodic issues of the College’s Veterinary Viewpoints newsletter.
