This interactive video installation combines interactive technology, screen media, performance improvisation and non-linear narrative construction to unfix stereotypical narratives of gendered and racialized bodies. I use these forms to democratize, but not homogenize the cultured body. I am interested in digital video, interactive media and the Internet, as forms to explore the possibility of information exchange. These formats set a practical framework for global co-authorship whose implications lie in the interrogation of identity formations. It is within the capacity of interactive technology I think through methods for co-creating cultural and personal narratives about the body.

Its About Small Things is a video and live performance installation. It's composed of three consecutive shorts. As the audience experiences pre-recorded video on screens A and B the third component of improvisation is key to the cognitive experience of the narrative. The live projection on screen C is a performed response to images displayed on the first two screens. The body is never seen, only mediated through a digital video network.
